Prof. Tinu Agunloye (ATINUKE AGUNLOYE Nee Balogun), a radiologist from Nigeria, recently spent 3 years in The Gambia, preparing the radiology department at the teaching hospital for the first ever post-graduate radiology

training programme. With limited personnel, there is a strong need to draw on international networks of medical imaging experts who can provide additional teaching and mentorship. Prof. Agunloye also has extensive experience of relying on various sorts of teleservices in radiology within Nigeria. Worldwide Radiology, a volunteer led Medical imaging charity in the UK, co-founded by Dr. Elizabeth Joekes, has been running such an international volunteer network for the first radiology training programme in Malawi since 2022. Together, they will present in the ‘Imagers Fixing the World session “Teleservices: delivering healthcare from afar” at #ECR2025, sharing their experience of what implementers need to consider to make teleservices safe and to make them work in settings where financial and human resources are severely restricted.
